Vintage Wedgwood "D'Ye Ken John Peel" Fox Hunt Relief Tumbler
This charming vintage Wedgwood tumbler features the iconic "D'Ye Ken John Peel" fox hunting scene in richly hand-colored relief. Depicting mounted riders, hounds, woodland scenery, and traditional English country sport, the tumbler is finished with a basketweave-style molded lower section and classic red line accents at the rim and base.
Named after the famous nineteenth-century hunting song celebrating legendary Cumbrian huntsman John Peel, the pattern became one of Wedgwood's most recognizable sporting wares during the mid-twentieth century. Pieces from this series remain highly collectible among enthusiasts of English ceramics, sporting art, and traditional country house décor.
