This antique carnival glass tumbler was produced by H. Northwood & Co. of Wheeling, West Virginia, in the distinctive Greek Key pattern. Crafted in black amethyst glass with brilliant carnival iridescence, the tumbler features a repeating Greek key border beneath fan motifs and a lower band of elongated geometric pendants. The rich iridescent finish displays vibrant gold, magenta, blue, and green highlights over the deep black amethyst base, creating striking color changes under varying light.

The Greek Key pattern reflects the influence of the Classical Revival movement that inspired many early twentieth-century decorative glass designs. Produced during Northwood's celebrated carnival glass era, examples in black amethyst are especially sought after for their dramatic contrast between the nearly black body color and vivid iridescent surface.

Condition:
Very good with no chips, cracks, or repairs observed. The iridescent finish remains bright and attractive with excellent gold, purple, blue, and green highlights. There are a few scattered manufacturing-related straw marks and minor spots of surface wear consistent with age, along with light shelf wear to the underside of the base.
