A beautiful antique carnival glass mug produced by H. Northwood & Co. of Wheeling, West Virginia. This example features the desirable Dandelion pattern with finely detailed seed heads, leaves, and buds in raised relief over a stippled background. The rich amethyst base glass is covered with vibrant iridescence displaying brilliant gold, violet, blue, and teal highlights that shift beautifully in changing light. The sturdy applied handle and flared rim complete the classic early twentieth-century form.

Condition
Very good antique condition. The iridescent finish remains bright and attractive with crisp molded detail throughout. Light wear consistent with age and careful use was observed, including minor surface scratches, expected shelf wear to the base, and a few typical manufacturing-related straw marks and tiny mold imperfections common to early carnival glass production.
