The Big Day was carved by Peter Calvesbert to celebrate his 1995 wedding to Andrea and became the inaugural Royal Watch club gift. Unlike most Harmony Kingdom pieces in this group, it is a figurine rather than a box and became the first design in the Cake Topper series.
The sculpture is filled with personal details: golf clubs reflect Peter's then-new fascination with the sport, Murphy rests on Peter's shoeless foot, and Spike perches on the couple's shoulders. “Colwall 30 Sept 95” records their wedding date, while SAA plane tickets reference their honeymoon to South Africa.
Carved in 1995 and released April 1, 1996, The Big Day was made in England exclusively for inaugural 1996 Royal Watch members. The timed edition totaled 5,125 pieces and retired December 1, 1996.

This example has a documented history that distinguishes it from an ordinary secondary-market The Big Day. It comes from former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory dispersed at auction in August 2026 and was acquired by AtopTheTables from Archive Lot HK61.
It is the single Archive example of RW96 acquired by AtopTheTables.
