Harmony Kingdom Pondering Ruddy Duck TJLDU Archive

Peter Calvesbert’s Pondering features a ruddy duck and belongs to the earliest generation of Harmony Kingdom box figurines. As an early design, it does not incorporate the hidden mouse or the later standardized hallmarks, and surviving examples show several interesting production variations.

Examples may be found with or without an interior egg, and the egg itself may be cracked or uncracked. The earliest moulds carried the inscription “SAC”, which was eventually removed. In September 1996, the HBC logo was added beneath the duck’s tail.

This Archive example contains the cracked interior egg and has the HBC logo beneath the tail. Released in 1990 and retired in 1997, Pondering reached a final edition size of 3,918.

This example has a documented history that distinguishes it from an ordinary secondary-market Pondering. It comes directly from the former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory dispersed at auction in August 2026 and was acquired by AtopTheTables from Archive Lot HK121.

It is one of 1 example of TJLDU documented in the Archive inventory acquired by AtopTheTables. This piece remained in former Harmony Kingdom company storage until the Archive was dispersed.
