Harmony Kingdom Keeping Current Duck TJLDU3 Calvesbert Treasure Jest Archive

Keeping Current, created by Peter Calvesbert, is a Large Treasure Jest whose subject and details place it within Harmony Kingdom's distinctive tradition of narrative box figurines. This smew duck box figurine is a very early Peter Calvesbert piece and predates the hidden mouse, inscriptions and hallmarks that later became familiar Harmony Kingdom details.

Examples may be found with or without a cracked egg inside. When the egg was added in 1996, the treble clef was placed on the cracked egg rather than on the duck's tail, as on the other large duck pieces.

Carved in 1990, Keeping Current was made in England and released October 1, 1990. It retired October 1, 1998. It is a retired Large Treasure Jest with an edition size of 4,488.
