Peter Calvesbert's Horn A' Plenty is a very early Large Treasure Jest centered on a single rhinoceros. Carved at the beginning of the Harmony Kingdom story, it predates many of the elaborate hidden jokes and interior scenes that collectors would later associate with the line.
The company information notes no hidden mouse, inner carving or hallmarks for Horn A' Plenty. Some of the earliest examples, however, carry the letters “SAC” beneath the top of the rhino's jaw—an intriguing detail associated with the earliest production.
Carved and released in 1991, Horn A' Plenty was made in England as a Large Treasure Jest. It retired December 1, 1997 after an edition of 6,910 pieces.
