Harmony Kingdom Have A Heart TJBBVU Banned Box Limited Edition Vulture

Have A Heart was created by Peter Calvesbert and became the first of Harmony Kingdom's infamous “Banned Boxes.” Originally intended as a special Valentine’s piece for 1997, the design was considered too tasteless and juvenile for release. Collectors learned that it existed, however, and popular demand eventually brought it to market in 1998 in appropriately black packaging as part of the Black Box Series. It was produced in a limited edition of 3,600 pieces.

The reason for the controversy becomes apparent on closer inspection. A rather pleased-looking vulture sits atop a sawn-off elephant's foot while using a headless hyena as support for his Valentine: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I ate the head, but the heart is for you.” His gift-wrapped heart is marked “To A,” a reference to Peter's wife Andrea. Inside is another heart bearing the mysterious initials “HKM,” whose meaning Peter himself could no longer remember. Some early examples also carry “Valentine” and “14 FEB,” while a known molding flaw left many of the vultures without toenails.

This example has a documented history that distinguishes it from an ordinary secondary-market Have A Heart. It comes directly from the former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory dispersed at auction in August 2026 and was acquired by AtopTheTables from Archive Lot HK70.

It is one of 40 examples of TJBBVU physically recovered from the Archive inventory acquired by AtopTheTables. Three of those Archive examples were found with their heads completely detached and are being retained separately as non-saleable Archive material. The 37 intact examples comprise the sellable inventory represented by this listing.
