Monique Baldwin's Gill is a Chapter III piece from Lord Byron's Harmony Garden. Its story finds Lord Byron on the Rock of Gibraltar, bidding adieu to friends and admirers, pausing for a shutterbug and then boarding Gill, the Deep Sea Charter, to sail toward lands unknown.
The former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory preserves two distinctly different forms of Gill: 18 standard production examples and one original Color Sample. The standard examples bear the piece name on the base, while the Color Sample instead has “Color Sample” handwritten on its base with no piece name. The physical Archive record identifies that sample as made in the UK, while the standard catalog production was made in China.
Carved in 1998 and released January 1, 1999, the standard Gill was made in China and remained in production until April 15, 2004. The catalog edition size was 11,564 pieces.
From the Harmony Kingdom Archives
These examples have documented histories that distinguish them from ordinary secondary-market Gill pieces. The standard examples come from Archive Lot HK129, while the original Color Sample comes from Archive Lot HK135; both were part of former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory dispersed at auction in August 2026 and acquired by AtopTheTables.
The Archive group consists of 18 standard examples plus one Color Sample. These pieces remained in former Harmony Kingdom company storage until the Archive was dispersed.
Your purchase will include an AtopTheTables Certificate of Authenticity & Provenance documenting its connection to the Harmony Kingdom Archives.
