Peter Calvesbert’s First Day Fest is a 2009 Event Piece inspired by the English Christmas carol The Twelve Days of Christmas. Carved in 2009, released September 15, and in stores November 25, it was issued as a Fixed Edition of just 551.
The partridge takes center stage, joined by references to five more gifts: two turtle doves, three French hens, four calling birds, five gold rings, and six geese a-laying inside. The inscription “364” represents the cumulative number of gifts bestowed over all twelve days. “PNC” and the 2008 value refer to PNC Bank’s tongue-in-cheek Christmas Price Index, while “Chattertocks” recognizes the Brown University women’s a cappella group that has sung the carol in Latin annually since 1958.

This example has a documented history that distinguishes it from an ordinary secondary-market First Day Fest. It comes directly from the former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory dispersed at auction in August 2026 and was acquired by AtopTheTables from Archive Lot HK65.
