Harmony Kingdom Feasty Fest Turkey TJEV03FC Peter Calvesbert Event Piece Archive

Feasty Fest places a turkey amid the abundance spilling from a cornucopia, or horn of plenty, with pumpkins and other harvest foods packed around the scene. Peter Calvesbert’s signature mouse is tucked among the pumpkins, adding one of the playful discoveries associated with his Harmony Kingdom carvings.

Calvesbert incorporated several personal details into the piece. “Pete” is carved beneath the back of the cornucopia, “Nelly” appears beneath a loaf of bread, and a shell recalls his son Sam’s first seaside holiday at Tenby Beach in Wales. The standard U.S. interior shows a cooked turkey on a table. Documented variations include a U.S. version with a mouse on the platter, a U.K. version with a fly on the plate, vivid-color examples and a unique jeweled version.

Designed by Peter Calvesbert, Feasty Fest was carved in 2003 and released September 5, 2003 as an event piece exclusive to Feasty Fest attendees. Made in England, the official edition size is 3,600, including documented coloring and interior variations.
