Harmony Kingdom Caw Of The Wild TJBB V1 Infinity Box Figurine 1999

Caw Of The Wild was created by Peter Calvesbert in honor of Rob and Jay, the duo behind an early website devoted to rumors and gossip about Harmony Kingdom. Released in 1999 as a Small Treasure Jest, the retired box figurine was produced in an edition of 13,567 pieces.

Calvesbert filled the piece with references to contemporary events and the people who inspired it. “20 MAR” commemorates the Breitling Orbiter 3's historic flight around the world, while “17 3 99” marks the date English entertainer Rod Hull died after falling from his roof. Hull and his famously unruly Emu puppet were fond childhood memories for Calvesbert.

Two versions are represented in the Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory offered here. Version I, with 19 Archive examples available, carries the inscription “To Rob” inside. Version Infinity, represented by 10 Archive examples, contains “Sod It,” a reference to British entrepreneur Richard Branson's unsuccessful attempt to circumnavigate the globe by balloon. The bird itself commemorates Jay.
