David Lawrence shaped Beneath the Ever Changing Seas as an elegant seashell box figurine for Harmony Kingdom's 1999 Royal Watch membership. Its seaside form opens to reveal Lord Byron relaxing on the shore, reading and sunning himself within the shell.

The quiet interior scene makes Lord Byron himself the principal secret, transforming the decorative shell into a miniature seaside retreat. The piece was included with 1999 membership kits and was available exclusively to Royal Watch members for that year.

Carved in 1998 and released January 1, 1999, Beneath the Ever Changing Seas was made in China as a Timed Edition exclusively for 1999 Royal Watch members. The edition totaled 26,109 pieces and retired December 31, 1999.
