Designed by Peter Calvesbert, Bathing Beauties was the 2008/09 Royal Watch Collector’s Club gift, available exclusively to members. Made in England, the box figurine was carved in 2007, released February 6, 2008, and retired December 31, 2008. It was produced as a timed edition of 968.
The sculpture began as a Steller’s sea lion, but Peter later realized that some of his reference photographs showed Californian sea lions. The result is a charming hybrid of the two species. During his research, he also learned that sea lions have ear tufts and can bend their rear flippers forward, making them more agile on land than seals.
The lid includes the inscriptions “Steller’s” and “Californian”, while “34” refers to the number of teeth a sea lion has, unless it has eaten too many sweets. Another sea lion appears inside the box figurine, along with the new 2008 year-of-production hallmark.

This set includes both the Bathing Beauties box figurine (RW08BB) and the Penguin Badge (RW08PI), presented together in their original box fitted with foam.
The Penguin Badge was also designed by Peter Calvesbert for the 2008/09 Royal Watch membership gift. It was produced in the same timed edition of 968.
From the Harmony Kingdom Archives
This example has a documented history that distinguishes it from an ordinary secondary-market Bathing Beauties. It comes directly from the former Harmony Kingdom Archives inventory dispersed at auction in August 2026 and was acquired by AtopTheTables from Archive Lot HK70.
Our physical Archive inventory currently contains eight cataloged Bathing Beauties club kits.
These pieces remained in former Harmony Kingdom company storage until the Archive was dispersed.

Original Archive Contents
This set includes the box figurine, Penguin Badge, and original foam-fitted presentation box. Original paperwork, when present with the selected example, will also be included. Replacement or duplicate original materials are not added.

This set is offered in its archive-kept condition. The original packaging may show storage or handling wear consistent with its age and years in the Harmony Kingdom Archives.
