Harmony Kingdom Balzac TJDLMI2 Literary Mouse Archive Box Figurine

Balzac is a Harmony Kingdom Small Treasure Jest box figurine designed by David Lawrence and released in 2003 as a fixed edition of 5,000 pieces worldwide. The edition was divided equally between 2,500 Version One and 2,500 Version Two examples.

This rather literary mouse, named for the 19th-century French author Honoré de Balzac, is conducting research at Rev. Felix Catgore's Library of Animal Characters. His first selection is the classic Puss in Boots, while other volumes stacked below include a book on Cornish fishing harbors and Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. David Lawrence's trademark acorn appears on the spine of one of the books.

Inside the box is a boot that clearly belongs to Puss, complete with his initial "P", providing the hidden interior detail characteristic of Harmony Kingdom's Treasure Jests.
