Balancing Act, created by Peter Calvesbert, is was inspired by Peter Calvesbert's visit to Sea World in Florida and his mixed feelings about watching orcas perform.
The carvings “I'm Mashu” and “50+” inside refer to the many orcas that have carried the Shamu stage name. The lid also includes the Latin name Orcinus Orca and “Mr. Big Fin,” referring to the larger dorsal fin of the male.
Carved in 2008, Balancing Act was made in England and released October 27, 2008. It was issued as a Fixed Edition size of 500.
