This elegant set of six Coxon Belleek luncheon plates brings a refined, understated look to a table setting. Each plate has a warm ivory-white ground, an ornate patterned gilt border around the outer rim, and a delicate gold line outlining the inner well. The richly detailed gold decoration catches the light without overwhelming the classic porcelain design.

The reverse bears the distinctive printed mark reading “Coxon Belleek,” with “Warrin Rich & Fisher” and “New-York” beneath. The plates are offered as a matching set of six and would complement formal dining, a special-occasion table, or a collection of American Belleek-style porcelain. The photographs include a close-up of the gold border and the actual underside mark.

At approximately 8 1/4 inches in diameter, these luncheon-size plates are versatile for salads, desserts, light meals, or display. Their restrained ivory-and-gold palette pairs especially well with other gilt-trimmed tableware. The six plates pictured are the exact set offered.

About Coxon Belleek and This Backstamp

These plates tell a distinctive story of American luxury tableware in the late 1920s. Coxon Belleek produced fine ivory-toned porcelain in Wooster, Ohio, from 1925 to 1931. The company was established by members of the Coxon family, whose father Jonathan Coxon had co-founded the Ceramic Art Company with Walter Scott Lenox, the predecessor of Lenox China. This connection places Coxon Belleek within an important tradition of American fine porcelain craftsmanship.

The backstamp adds another layer of interest: it combines the Coxon Belleek mark with the names “Warrin” and “Rich & Fisher, New-York.” Warrin is a documented Coxon Belleek pattern name, and the plates display a beautifully intricate gilt border with a fine gold line surrounding the well. The Rich & Fisher name connects these pieces with the New York luxury tableware trade. Together, the markings evoke the specialized manufacturing, decorative design, and retail relationships behind fine American china of the period.

Produced during Coxon Belleek’s relatively brief history, these plates are attractive both as functional tableware and as collectible examples of American Belleek-style porcelain. Their refined finish and historic connection to the Lenox tradition make them especially appealing to collectors of early twentieth-century American china.
