Elegant antique French porcelain chocolate pot or individual serving pot produced by Charles Ahrenfeldt of Limoges, France and retailed by the prestigious Philadelphia jeweler and luxury retailer, J.E. Caldwell & Co. This refined piece features an ivory porcelain body accented by rich cobalt blue bands, hand-painted floral garlands, and lavish gilt detailing on the spout, handle, and finial.

The underside bears the green Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges mark, dating the piece to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century. The combination of Limoges craftsmanship and the J.E. Caldwell retailer mark makes this a particularly desirable example for collectors of fine French porcelain and Philadelphia retail history.
