This charming antique Wedgwood blue Jasperware open salt cellar features finely detailed white classical reliefs against a rich cobalt blue ground, accented by a fitted silverplate rim. The decoration includes playful cherubs, floral motifs, and a lion-drawn chariot scene rendered in the neoclassical style that made Wedgwood Jasperware famous worldwide.

The impressed Wedgwood mark and date letter "V" on the base indicate a production year of 1867, placing this piece firmly in the Victorian era. Condition
Good antique condition consistent with age and use. The Jasperware body appears free of major cracks or repairs. Relief decoration remains well defined with expected minor age-related wear - and there does appear to be an area of white decoration absent - see photo. The silverplate rim shows oxidation, tarnish, and surface wear consistent with more than 150 years of age. Please examine all photographs carefully for a complete assessment of condition.
