This antique T&V Limoges porcelain biscuit jar features delicately hand-painted pink and white roses surrounded by soft green foliage, accented by richly gilded handles, rim and finial. The decoration wraps around the rounded body and continues onto the fitted lid, giving the piece an especially attractive presentation from every angle.
The green T&V France factory mark identifies the porcelain as Tressemanes & Vogt of Limoges, France. This style of mark is associated with the firm's turn-of-the-century production. The piece is artist signed M.G.K. near one handle.
Condition This piece is in remarkably good antique condition for its age. The gilded decoration remains exceptionally well preserved, with only very minimal wear evident. No chips or cracks are evident. Minor signs of age or previous use may be present consistent with an antique porcelain piece.
